Boy Messiah told to change name to Martin - now wisdom of King Solomon prevails

So courts in Tennessee have ruled that little baby Messiah can keep his name after all.

Magistrate Lu Ann Ballew  had previously ordered the infant Messiah's given name be changed to Martin on the grounds that "Jesus Christ was the only true Messiah".

Rather a shaky decision to stand up in court – what with its basis not having any legal status and all that – but more to the point, did Ms Ballew consider the psychological effects of going from a Messiah to a Martin? Just seven months in, it would have been a tough early life-blow for the little chap.
