George Osborne dishes out some cold comfort for young people

So George Osborne is going to reward previously 'hard-working, cash-saving' pensioners by maintaining extra winter fuel allowance, free travel and free prescriptions for all of them, even the millionaires.

Meanwhile he's aiming to strip housing benefit from under 25s, the group currently struggling most to get a job, because 'tough choices have to be made.'

And private landlords are giving welfare recipients like 'unreliable' single mums with young children a month's notice to get out of their properties. Oh to be a young, job-seeking single parent in Osborne's Britain.

Doesn't it just make your heart shrivel?
