Now here's a PM who is a class act
While the world was watching one Danish Prime Minister, another was making a more important cultural contribution. Birgitte Nyborg, the fictional ex-PM in Danish TV phenomenon Borgen, faced up to the reality of her breast cancer.
As she sweated, and trembled, during a live TV debate, I found myself developing similar symptoms, so convincing was Sidse Knudsen's (above) performance. Nyborg's breakdown made a strong point about misleading perceptions of weakness; her subsequent decision to take her family to support her during her hospital treatment was moving and powerful.
