The other side of union boss Bob Crow
A few weeks ago I interviewed a man known as a tough-talking, no-nonsense agitator.
Some regarded him as a dangerous militant, a firebrand, an attack dog.
But he told me his agenda wasn't party political at all, but was motivated by a hatred of injustice.
Then he waxed lyrical about his beloved dog, who greeted his return home with joy every night, about the garden he proudly kept weed-free, and the grandchildren who had lit up his life in the last few years.
So I was very sad to hear of the untimely death of Bob Crow this week.
He was not a man finished with life.
