Will Russell Brand reveal all about politics?

How I wish I'd been in the offices of The Spectator, or around the table of the Tory cabinet, or at the clubhouse bar of St Andrews golf course when it was announced that Russell Brand is to guest edit The New Statesman, rename it 'The Nude Statesman,' and get Noel Gallagher to contribute.

There are so many reasons I can't wait for what I know will be a clear-sighted, seeringly honest, politically convincing and really freaking funny edition of the magazine, but the steam it will produce from the ears of the public school old stiffs is top of the list.
