Lindy McDowell: How Jacko’s 'secret son' starts a guessing game

Saturday, 25 July 2009

The Michael Jackson story. Not so much a Thriller. More a soap.

Emerging this week — claims about who might have killed him. And that he had another ‘secret’ son, Omer Bhatti (inset).

This secret son appears to have been known to the entire Jackson clan and was even seated front row at the memorial ceremony.

So not all that secret then.

Was he really Jackson’s son? He does bear a striking resemblance to wee Blanket.

But while Blanket may have about him the look of Jacko post-cosmetic surgery, does the child actually resemble the singer before the scalpel was applied?

It’s all very complex and you find yourself staring at photos of the family trying to work out whether Omer has Tito’s nose or Jermaine’s hair.

Not so much the Michael Jackson story anymore.

More the Jeremy Kyle Show.

Please don't just copy out rumours from the Sun for your column. It's not particularly funny.

Gritty, moving and heroic...Billy plays captured life here

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ... Sunday's 30th anniversary screening of the seminal Too Late to Talk to Billy was riveting viewing. But it wasn't nostalgic viewing.

Parties need better defence in Stormont's game of two halves

Surprise, surprise. Peter Robinson has been to his first gaelic match, Martin McGuinness is heading for Windsor Park and the Ulster Unionists have scored another own goal.

Why trying to go on a diet is never really a piece of cake

Some people make New Year’s resolutions, I make lists. Every new year I determine to keep track of everything I spend and everything I eat and drink.

Scary movie? Their jaws were sore from laughing

Teenage boys love horror films and I have two who are in charge of the remote control in our house, so naturally there’s gore-a-plenty on the box most weekends. However, until recently one film was banned.
