Queen's Student Union has had something of a light bulb moment over the festive period. Or to be precise, several hundred thousand of them.
The Christmas lights at the front of the building are more dazzling than Harrods'. Being all for tinselly things, party-time and splurge, I hate to sound like Scrooge, but at a time when much of the populace is agonising over energy bills (and global warming, remember it?) it does seem ever so slightly OTT.
As the single mother on minimum wage mentioned to me just the other day, wonder who's going to be picking up that particular electricity bill?
