How Woodvale protest bill would fix my roof

Policing the loyalist protest camp at Woodvale is costing £50,000 a day.

Apart from not understanding how on earth one caravan and three women can need that much policing Monday-Friday, the more pressing question for me is, how come this money can magically be found out of nowhere?

I'm struggling to pay for necessary work on my house. If I offered to stand up there over lunchtime in a flak jacket, would the PSNI give me two grand to get my chimney fixed and my house painted? Or do you have to sit in a caravan to get attention round here?
