I can point the finger at sugar
I know everyone's jumping on the "fat isn't really bad for you, sugar is the demon" bandwagon now, but let me just add one non-scientific case study to the increasingly fat file of research to back this up.
No added sugar or processed food in my diet from July 30-December 25 apart from some bread and Quorn products.
Over Christmas, chocolates, mince pies, shortbread and assorted sweet stuff. Not loads, but some.
Result – arthritis in fingers was very painful. Back on normal, no sugar diet for four days. Result – arthritis pain in fingers totally gone. I'm only sayin'.....
