I've debated whether to write this bit about North Korea or Claudia Winkleman's fringe. I want to appear serious and concerned with world affairs, but also a bit fun and down with the light-hearted types.
I care for neither very much. Each is irritating. Both seem designed to hide things – whether it's a wrinkly forehead or a missile development strategy.
Both have come in for much criticism – one from the Daily Mail Femail section writers, the other from world leaders and political commentators with gravitas.
One worries me more than the other, obviously. The consequence of an escalation in the North Korea situation is death and war. The worst that can happen if Claudia W lets hers go is that we won't have to look at her rather odd-shaped eyes.
The world waits with bated breath to see what'll happen next. Here's hoping both pull back and we can all relax.
