It’s been suggested that people who end up in A&E because they’re drunk should have to pay for being treated.
Abusive, drunk patients cost the NHS a lot of money and the staff a lot of upset, every weekend up and down the country.
While they’re at it, why not film the paralytic ones and make them watch themselves back when they’re sober?
Surely one of the biggest causes of repeating drunken behaviour is that once you sober up, you forget what you did the night before and when others tell you what a complete prat you were it doesn’t register with you as shameful, because you don’t remember anything about it.
But if you had to watch yourself falling over and slabberin’, never mind being aggressive, it might just have enough embarrassment factor to make you think twice.
I mean, drinking to oblivion isn’t quite the same if you’re not allowed to stay oblivious, is it?
