When you hug someone, is it for you or them? I used to think it was for them, to show them love or affection or just friendliness. Now I'm not so sure.
Another feature of this single life is lack of physical touch. So I find myself compensating by being perhaps a tad too familiar with people I meet.
Nothing too weird, just a tendency to hug people too much or maybe hold on too long. Fine when you know them, but the checkout assistants in the supermarket don't really seem to like it much, I've discovered.
