Twin link to towers so tenuous
I thought I was reading a Steve Coogan/Alan Partridge spoof last week in the TV listings. Among the 9/11 documentaries was one called ‘The Twins of the Twin Towers’.
I laughed to myself, “Huh! That sounds like a really cheesy idea to make a programme about people who lost a twin in the twin towers disaster.”
So it's official, the bottom of the barrel has been scraped through and all that's left is a gaping hole. With luck, that awful programme will mark an end to this tenuous-to-the-point-of-laughable-if-only-it-wasn't-so-sad programme making.
If I turn on next year and see ‘The Towers of the Twin Towers’ —a programme tracing all those who lost someone and who are either called Tower, or Towers, or ever knew someone by that name, or simply read the name at some point, somewhere, then I will eat my Who Shot JR Special Thirty-Year Anniversary Hat (With Built-In Oil Slick).
