Minister announces £65,000 investment for street lights in west Belfast

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy announced the installation of replacement street lighting at Kennedy Way Upper, Belfast. 

The scheme between Glen Road and Andersonstown Road Roundabouts is due to commence 14 October 2013 and will be fully operational within seven weeks.

The Minister said: “This £65,000 investment will provide a lighting scheme that complies with current British Standards, improve the structural and electrical stability of the street lighting network, reduce energy costs, improve the quality of lighting, reduce sky glow/light pollution and carbon emissions.”
