106-year-old Billy a walking example of longevity for us all
Clean living and frequent rambles on the hills surrounding Belfast are the keys to a long life, according to Billy Noble. And he should know, as he celebrated his astonishing 106th birthday yesterday, making him Northern Ireland's oldest man. According to his son, a mere stripling at 72 years of age, Billy used to insist that the family would go out every Sunday for a bracing walk.
He backed up his fitness drive by shunning both cigarettes and alcohol. He certainly is a marvellous advertisement for this approach to life.
We wish Billy all the best for the future in the care of his devoted family.
