£75 Easter egg leaves a bad taste in the mouth
While the province may be facing all sorts of challenges at the moment, it is obvious there are many people who are not feeling the pinch.
For a considerable number think nothing of shelling out £75 for an Easter egg. That is the incredible price one retailer is charging for fast-selling, ostrich-sized confections. That would leave a bad taste in the mouths of most of us, no matter how delightful the egg and accompanying sweets may be.
Some people buy them for parties, which makes sense as there would be enough to go round a sizeable group, but it still seems a tad extravagant in a world where so many haven't even a square meal.
