All's well that ends well after cat's city break in Liverpool

We have all heard of cats having nine lives, but one from Belfast has been leading something of a high life since disappearing 18 months ago.

For somehow the cat, nicknamed Danny Boy, managed to pack in a city break - to Liverpool. It is thought he must have stowed away in a vehicle.

His movements in that city are unclear, but he certainly has been eating well, as he was still as weighty as when he left home. But then he had been hanging around a takeaway outlet for some weeks. His owner, who had given up hope of ever seeing her feline friend again, is overjoyed that he has been found. In fact, she is grinning like a Cheshire cat.
