Armagh GAA team's media sulk counter-productive

The Armagh GAA team management may deny that the county has a media ban, but a few comments to Sky TV after receiving man of the match awards hardly qualifies as a healthy relationship with the media at large.

The players and management feel they have been maligned this year but their reaction smacks of a sulk and is silly.

The real losers are the team's fans.

They are no doubt enjoying the team's resurgence in form but would also like to hear from those who have helped the county qualify for an all-Ireland quarter-final tie. The team can, of course, maintain its silence, but what will that win them? Certainly not friends.
