Attacks cowardly

Can there be anything more cowardly than to place pipe bombs on the windowsill of an unsuspecting household or to toss a lit petrol bomb into the living room of a home where a man was sitting.

Thankfully in the first instance there were no injuries and the devices were made safe but a family was terrorised and their neighbours forced to leave their homes for a period.

In the case of the petrol bomb attack, the victim remains critically ill with 40% burns.

That he is still alive is due to the heroism of two neighbours who dragged him from his burning home.

Their courage stands in stark comparison to vile cowardice of the man's attackers.

Those who were involved in these unconnected attacks must be apprehended and anyone with information about their identities should give it immediately to the PSNI.
