Boxing champ Carl won't be red-faced on big day

No groom wants to be photographed on his big day covered in cuts or bruises. But that is the risk that Belfast boxer Carl Frampton runs.

He fights this weekend just two weeks before he weds his fiancee Christine Dorrian. He can hardly expect to come out of the ring unscathed given that it is a world title elimination bout.

But he is confident Christine won't mind how he looks as long as he wins.

And he has the experience of his mentor Barry McGuigan to call on, for he walked up the aisle with a facial gash on his own wedding day. Carl at least knows he will be paid handsomely for any cuts or bruises he collects and that should ease the pain and help the wedding celebrations really take off.
