Northern Ireland girl Emmalee Wray, who has been chosen to help the Queen light the first in a chain of 1,000 beacons to mark Her Majesty's 90th birthday on Thursday, is another special young lady.

She is a high achiever academically and has also attained a high level of expertise in the cadets, but she has also shown great character, which was a determining factor in being chosen for this honour.

Emmalee will be a good ambassador for the province, for which the Queen has shown great affection during her record-breaking reign. She will carry with her the province's good wishes to Her Majesty.
