Carl's glorious reign can only be affected by... rain

Carl Frampton, already an iconic figure in boxing, will challenge for a world title at an iconic venue, the Titanic slipways, in September.

The outdoor bout, expected to attract Northern Ireland's largest ever boxing audience, will evoke memories of that unforgettable night when Frampton's equally iconic manager, Barry McGuigan, won his world crown.

Just like Barry, Carl has already united fight fans here through his talent and likeable personality. He is a great ambassador for Northern Ireland and everyone will be behind his bid to win the title on home soil. The only blot on the horizon is the possibility of bad weather blowing in from the lough. Let's hope that the rain does not fall on Carl's parade.
