Charity's advice gives rabbit lovers paws for thought

It is no coincidence that rabbits feature so prominently in children's books. They are adorable looking creatures and their popularity in fiction makes many kids want them as pets.

They appear like cute bundles of fur but can be quite demanding to keep, and now an animal sanctuary has had to stop taking them in because of the numbers being rescued.

Fortunately those rabbits being rescued are not victims of mistreatment, but rather are being kept inappropriately through lack of knowledge of their needs. The advice from the animal charity on how to look after rabbits should give potential owners paws for thought.
