Charity's Race for Life paints a positive picture
Just when it appears that events in Northern Ireland are totally depressing, there is always something to lift the spirits. This was well illustrated by the Race for Life locally in support of Cancer Research UK.
More than 8,000 women and girls from all over Northern Ireland took part in the event at Stormont yesterday to raise money for this worthy charity, and also to commemorate family and loved ones who have died.
It was emotional and inspiring, and it showed again the good side of Northern Ireland and its people from all backgrounds. This is something which Yvonne Ridley could have shared with her overseas audience, and she could have done worse than flash up pictures from the Race for Life, to show a better picture of Northern Ireland.
