City standing tall after a spectacular maritime festival
They came, we saw, and they conquered! The visit of the Tall Ships to Northern Ireland was a triumphant achievement in which many people played an important part.
Hundreds of thousands of people from all backgrounds in Northern Ireland, and from much further afield, came to the Belfast Harbour estate to take part in this extraordinary Maritime Festival in the past few days.
This is the third time that the Tall Ships have come to Belfast, and by all accounts this was the best visit so far.
The organisation and the carnival atmosphere were first class during the entire visit.
Once again, it is abundantly clear that Northern Ireland has firmly established itself as a location which can stage major events. Hopefully there are many more to come.
