Cruel cat kicker deserves to feel the full force of the law
Pablo the cat may only have eight lives left after it was kicked into the sea in an act of senseless cruelty. Fortunately, the soggy moggy was able to get ashore and back to its home, but it beggars belief that anyone could act with such random viciousness against a defenceless animal playing at Portrush harbour.
We seem to have a society that treats animals at polar extremes - those who love their pets dearly and those who love to inflict harm on them.
It is to be hoped that whoever was responsible for the attack on Pablo is identified and dealt with by the law. Perhaps if he is given a metaphorical kicking in court, he will see the error of his ways.
