Cycling event and weather add to our feelgood factor
Those who took part in the Giro d'Italia Gran Fondo at the weekend could not have wished for a better event.
There were more than 4,000 cyclists and supporters, and there was a photo-finish before Mark Kane was announced the winner for the second year in a row.
The race was held in sweltering conditions, unlike the Giro d'Italia itself which took place here memorably not so long ago, and there was a general feelgood factor about the whole event.
Northern Ireland, in prolonged summer weather, has so much to offer everyone, not least those who are bringing cycling to new levels of enjoyment.
