Dan is the perfect actor to recreate his Frank's genius

Few people could name a better man than the actor Dan Gordon to write a play about the multi-faceted Belfast comedian Frank Carson, who died in 2012.

Mr Gordon will also star in the production, and when the seats go on sale eventually, many people will want to book right away.

Such a show will have countless gags, and Dan will need all his skills to portray Frank, who was as funny in private life as he was on the stage.

Dan Gordon, nevertheless, is a hugely- talented actor, and he knows the Ulster psyche backwards.

However, he will be wise to heed the claims of his subject when writing a successful play about Frank Carson - "It's the way I tell them!"
