Dylan casts a spell

Dylan Campbell from Larne is a golden child when it comes to spelling, winning the World Spelling Day tournament for the second time against one million competitors worldwide. A diligent student he also finds time to write books.

Most of us adults feel young people have created their own impenetrable language for texting, tweeting or conversing on social networking sites, but 10-year-old Dylan shows that he can perform the traditional basics of spelling and grammar to the highest standard. He is a prodigious talent who has achieved a stupendous result.
