Editor's Viewpoint: A festive reunion

There is something about Christmas that makes us want to be with family. In these straitened times many have been forced to leave these shores in search of greener pastures, but the annual trek home will see planes and ferries booked to capacity over the coming days.

This newspaper along with the NI Tourist Board has made one reunion possible, bringing together sisters and their families.

The two families are separated by the thousands of miles but this competition made it feasible to bridge the divide and create a real party atmosphere in one Co Down home. Happy Christmas to them.
