Moira man Mark Kelly endured the terrible agony of watching his beloved daughter, Margarita, battle cancer for eight years before dying at the tender age of 20. On her deathbed she urged him to cycle across America to raise funds for charity, a pledge he undertook to raise tens of thousands of pounds.
Nothing can ever erode the family's pain at their loss, but Margarita has left a powerful legacy to people who never knew her, but who will benefit from her dying wish. Her family miss her, but they must also be immensely proud of her.
