Is John Terry fit to captain England’s football team after it was revealed that he had an affair with the girlfriend of a former team-mate?
That seems to be the burning issue in many national newspapers and television and radio shows.
It is much ado about nothing. This is not the first time Terry has had an affair, so his morality, or lack of it, is not the issue. Secondly, given the reputation attached to many footballers, the Chelsea and England defender is hardly leading them into moral turpitude.
The only people who deserve to show Terry a red card are his long-suffering wife, Toni, and the children whom he has betrayed in a vile manner.
