Editor's Viewpoint: A time to dance

Published 08/11/2012

The media stars taking part in this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing event are certainly good sports.

And as people who have carved out successful broadcasting careers, they are bringing the same dedication and ambition to the dance floor along with their partners and medical staff from the Royal Group of Hospitals.

And while it may be entertaining to see BBC political correspondent, Martina Purdy, the scourge of many an MLA, being spanked during her performance, it is worth remembering that the event is all in a good cause, to raise funds to buy an MRI scanner for the children’s hospital and therefore enhance the treatment given to young people. That’s two good reasons for contributing.
