In spite of initial criticisms, Titanic Belfast has proved an outstanding success since opening on March 31 this year. Already 500,000 people from 111 countries have come through the doors to view the history of the world's most iconic ship.
That shows the enduring appeal of the doomed vessel. But it also shows that Titanic Belfast is a superb attraction, not just for people from the city or even the province. Its fame has spread far and wide and that is a testament to the hard work of centre staff and tourism chiefs. The key now is to continue to build on this success, offer new attractions and keep enticing visitors.
