Editor's Viewpoint: An injustice to Ford
Asnapshot poll of the rank and file Alliance members at their annual conference reveals that a large majority of around two to one would back the party pulling out of the Stormont Executive in protest at the axing of one of its ministries.
The party justifiably feels strongly about this, as it does about the lack of progress at Stormont on the so-called 'blueprint for a shared future'.
The Alliance Party so far has shown cool political judgment on a wide range of issues, and its canny leader David Ford is doing a good job as justice minister. It would be folly for anyone, inside or outside the party, to undermine that success.
