Editor's Viewpoint: Big Man a big draw

The film may not be a classic in the eyes of the critics, but Ballymena born actor Liam Neeson is certainly star quality. It is largely due to his efforts that Taken 2 has become a box office hit around the world, showing that even at 60 the Big Man is a believable action hero.

But then we already knew from earlier work like Schindler's List that Neeson is A-list material. A shoot-em-up thriller is hardly likely to tax his acting abilities, even if he is too modest to admit it. However, with the critics' plaudits ringing in his ears, he should certainly be able to demand top dollar for his forthcoming roles.
