Editor's Viewpoint: Cultural success

Practically unnoticed by the majority of people, the Out to Lunch culture festival has been taking place in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter. Keenly priced and widely varied performances have made it a truly accessible programme of events, a lesson that some of the more established festivals could take to heart.

Northern Ireland's arts and culture scene is in rude health and that can only be a good thing in a province which has known more than its fair share of despair. Arts and community groups along with commercial entertainment entrepreneurs provide us all with an escape from the dreary daily grind and are to be applauded for enriching our society.
