Editor's Viewpoint: Farewell to a gent
Photographer John Harrison had the ability to make friends with anyone, equally at home in the presence of the proverbial man in the street or in the corridors of power.
And among the many hundreds at his funeral yesterday, there was not one who would have uttered an unkind word about John. With an oration by Rev Ian Paisley, attendance by the First and Deputy First Ministers and other politicians as well as hundreds of friends, colleagues and people whose life he touched, sometimes very briefly, his funeral was worthy of a statesman. But John was even greater - he was a gentleman.
