It has been voted local television's best moment and Strabane man, George Cunningham, was a worthy winner. Anyone who ever saw his fast talking interview with Charles Witherspoon in the 1970s could never forget it. George's whirlwind delivery made the average auctioneer seem tongue-tied.
And, it seems, his grandchildren have inherited his motor-mouth genes. George sadly died last year at the age of 90 and no doubt would have been proud to realise he is still so fondly remembered. The only thing is, 40 years later no one is still any the wiser about what he was saying.
