Editor's Viewpoint: High note for Nadine

The world of pop music is a law unto itself, and it is difficult to keep up with the latest news and trends, many of which outsiders find hard to follow.

However, it is worth noting that the pop guru Louis Walsh now claims that Derry's Nadine Coyle, and not the arguably better-known Cheryl Cole, is by far the best singer in the group Girls Aloud.

Such judgments are essentially subjective, but it is good to know that the girl group are once again back on track.

It is to be hoped also that they have put their strong-minded rivalries behind them as they search for renewed success in the future.
