Editor's Viewpoint: Just our cup of tea
Tea is a beverage like no other. We take a cuppa to soothe ourselves - unlike coffee, which is used to supercharge us to face a busy world. It has tradition stretching back over the ages, accompanied by an aura of civility and good manners. We make time for tea and there is nothing better than sharing it with good friends.
While purists may bemoan the decline in the loose leaf varieties, it is still a brew of consistency, whether made in a fine china pot or simply by dunking a tea bag. And let us not forget that it was - and remains - an invaluable cash crop for developing countries. Yes, tea is no ordinary drink.
