No one can fail to be touched by the plight of little Oscar Knox who is battling an aggressive form of childhood cancer. The turnout at a gala charity fundraising event in Belfast last night shows that people from all walks of life are supporting him in his fight for life.

Sadly a recently discovered and potentially lethal heart condition means that one form of treatment has had to be cancelled. This is obviously a devastating blow for his parents, but they have not given up hope. And they know they carry the good wishes and prayers of everyone who has heard their story.
