Editor's Viewpoint: Our Beck and call

It is not often that capitals like Paris, Dublin and London come off second best in cultural activities, so full marks to Fermanagh for stealing a march and organising the first festival to celebrate Nobel prize-winning playwright Samuel Beckett who also had associations with the above named cities.
Not only will the festival next month pay homage to his work, but it will also capture the wit and fun of the man who was educated in Enniskillen. This is no festival just for worthy arty types, but is accessible to the masses, something which would have appealed to the man himself.
