Editor's Viewpoint: Rihanna redemption

Viewers of Rihanna's new video shot in Bangor and Belfast will soon realise that she didn't take farmer Alan Graham's advice to cover-up too seriously.

She is her usual raunchy self, but that is what her fans like and there is little doubt that her new release and video will sell well.

There are other controversial themes in the video including hinted-at violence, and some residents of Belfast's New Lodge Road take exception to the area being described as a hopeless place. But ultimately featuring in a video made by one of the world's top selling recording artists should soothe any imagined slights. It is certainly the first time that the New Lodge has been seen around the world as a place of love.
