Editor's Viewpoint: Stating it baldly

For many men, a receding hairline and/or spreading bald patch on the crown of the head is a sure sign that the days of youthful vigour are ebbing away.

The shining pate betrays the advancing years to all and sundry.

But, as actor Jimmy Nesbitt revealed this week, it is possible to fight back against the ravages of nature.

He was sporting a full head of hair after transplant treatment and encouraged other men to follow his example if they are feeling follically challenged.

Sure beats the rugs worn by some celebrities to hide their baldness.
