How do we view the elderly? Often the silver haired generation are regarded as well past their sell-by date. But there is one group of old age pensioners who to defy the passing years.
The Rolling Stones, who have been rocking for 50 years, can still put on a show to equal, or surpass, any other band in the world of pop.
Mick Jagger is 69 but his performance during the first gig of the group's 50th anniversary tour was widely acclaimed. The band, it seems, continues to give satisfaction in spite of half a century of success and excess.
Maybe there is more life in our pensioners than we often think. Just because grandad isn't Jagger, doesn't mean he's past it.
