Editor's Viewpoint: Turning up the heat

Yes, it's summer time again. Each year it seems that Northern Ireland's summer falls in May, a few weeks before the school year ends and before most people have booked their holidays.

This week, according to the forecasters, we will be basking in above-average temperatures though no one is prepared to predict any further good weather. If the trends of recent years continue this could be some of the best weather of summer, with July and August being the usual washout.

So, for those fortunate enough to be off, make the best of this week. You never know when we will see the sun again.
