Editor's Viewpoint: Warhol welcomed

The opening of an Andy Warhol exhibition at Belfast's MAC is an incredible coup for the city.

The man who coined the phrase "everyone will have their own 15 minutes of fame" has had a much more enduring period in the limelight. Yet he remains an artist one either loves or hates.

But however you feel, you should go along and view his work. He created iconic 20th century images and to see them up close and personal is a rare treat. This could be a blockbuster exhibition and sure to stir debate, even among those who normally have only a passing interest in art.
