Editor's Viewpoint: Wins to be proud of

Civic pride does produce tangible results. Just look at Coleraine and Ballyclare who both won their categories in the Best Kept Town awards. Both towns are no stranger to success in these awards, and their victories show that residents put in a lot of hard work to keep their streets and gardens attractive and welcoming.

Like this newspaper's Big Spring Clean initiative, the awards show what can be achieved when individuals pull together, determined to keep their environment unsullied and taking pride in where they live. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to these wins.
