Electricity price cut gives the consumer a chance to cash in

Editor's Viewpoint

Published 12/02/2016

At last Northern Ireland has a competitive electricity market, with consumers able to choose between six domestic suppliers. The very welcome 10.3% reduction in prices by Power NI announced today sets the bar for the other utility companies to match or better.

As well as pricing, there are a series of other incentives offered to customers by the various utility companies and consumers should take advantage of cost comparison sites to see where they can obtain the best deal.

Switching suppliers, like switching bank accounts, is now easier than ever in the race to attract customers who should cash in.
